At MMG, we want our clients to feel seen and heard. Maintaining healthy relationships with clients is crucial not only for success but also for sustaining the relationship. Building trust with clients is of the utmost importance. We are there to provide a service for them, and we want that service to be top-notch! Let's hear from Alicia, our Content Manager, on her top three recommendations for maintaining healthy relationships with clients. •Providing Value: I think providing value is something that is often overlooked. Many times, business relationships are seen as super transactional. I do not like to look at any of my client relationships that way. I truly want my clients to be successful, just as I want Modern Media Group and my coworkers to be. If I see an area where I can provide advice, an extra layer of creativity, etc., I do my best to follow through with that. •Trust: Trust is essential to client relationships. You want to establish trust as early as possible in relationships to show your clients that they are in good hands. Being honest, transparent, and reliable is so important. Delivering on your promises and commitments helps establish that level of trust, and being honest when you can’t follow through goes a long way as well. It lets clients know that you’re working towards a solution. If I know that the content I’m delivering may have an extended delivery date, I make sure to let clients know when it will be delivered and what is causing the delay. •Caring: Caring may seem basic, but it’s not something that everyone keeps in mind when it comes to client relationships. Going the extra mile for clients and showing you truly care for them can do wonders for your relationship. It can be something as small as checking in with your clients from time to time, acknowledging birthdays, etc. For example, one of my clients currently has construction going on in their building. Periodically, I like to check in on how construction is going for them; not just from a business perspective, but as a friend. I care about their success and want things to go well for them. Showing people you truly care works!

At MMG we always strive for a successful content shoot🎥 Let's hear from our Content Manager, Taylor Knore, on the 3 key factors that contribute to our success. • Pre-Planning Having a planning meeting with the client to go over all of the video ideas and logistics of the shoot is probably the MOST important thing for a successful content shoot. We like to have these at least a week, if not two before the actual shoot date. It helps communicate any new ideas, eliminate confusion, create a timeline, and get ahead of any potential issues that could occur on shoot day. • Communication There is a lot of coordination that needs to happen to run a successful shoot. First we communicate with the client to get approval on their production doc for their upcoming shoot. Once that is confirmed, we communicate with our creators to ensure they are briefed on everything they are creating. Because the Content Manager is the glue between our clients and our creators, anything that needs communicated goes through us. Changes to the production document can also happen while on site, so you have to be able to communicate that properly to the whole team so everyone stays on the same page! • Equipment This could be a given, but to run a successful shoot, you must have the proper equipment. For all of our shoots, per our standard, we always provide at least two lights with two softboxes, two stands, a tube light, and mics. For some shoots, additional equipment may be required which is what the planning meeting is for!
