Kudos to the Center for Threat-Informed Defense and its Research Participants for this groundbreaking work. One key result: alignment of ATLAS TTPs with the latest MITRE ATT&CK framework. This is a major step forward in understanding and defending against AI threats. Let's keep pushing the boundaries!
Take a threat-informed approach to secure AI. The Secure AI project accelerates the development of MITRE ATLAS and launches a new AI incident sharing program to boost community knowledge of threats to Artificial Intelligence-enabled systems. ⭐ Expands the database of adversary TTPs and case studies for AI-enabled systems through incident sharing metrics and mechanisms. ⭐ Documented new case studies within ATLAS that address vulnerabilities in industry-relevant systems, including generative AI. ⭐ Describes new relevant mitigations based on documented AI incidents. ⭐ Aligns ATLAS TTPs with the current version of MITRE ATT&CK. We extend our deepest gratitude to our industry partners for their invaluable contributions: AttackIQ, BlueRock.io, Booz Allen Hamilton, Cato Networks, Citi, CrowdStrike, FS-ISAC, Fujitsu, HCA Healthcare, HiddenLayer, Intel Corporation, JPMorganChase, Microsoft, Standard Chartered, and Verizon Business. We invite additional industry participants to join us in this critical endeavor. Your expertise and data contributions will further enhance our understanding of AI threats and bolster defenses across various sectors. Let’s change the game on the adversary! https://hubs.ly/Q02RJrpz0 #threatinformeddefense #cybersecurity #MITREATLAS #AI #AISecurity

#SOAR SAVES LIVES The MITRE Engenuity Safely Operating Aircraft Remotely program continues to make a remarkable impact for our law enforcement community. The SOAR cutting-edge training program, Fundamentals of UAS Maneuvering, has already proven to be a game-changer. In just a short time, dedicated sheriff officers who have completed that training have leveraged their skills to: 👶 Locate a lost child swiftly and safely, reuniting them with their family 🚨 Diffuse an active shooter situation, ensuring the safety of countless individuals 🔍 Track and positively identify a perpetrator, leading to a successful apprehension As we celebrate these real-world successes, we cannot undermine the critical importance of advanced UAS training in enhancing public safety and operational efficiency. We are incredibly proud of the officers and their commitment to protecting our communities. We encourage all #SheriffsDepartment, #FireDepartment, #SearchandRescue, and #EmergencyServices professionals to visit https://lnkd.in/e-DB6ech and sign-up for a course, or email SOAR-Training[at]MITRE-engenuity.org to request a training near you! A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this course a success, from our expert instructors to the diligent partners #PublicSafetyUSA, Leach Strategic Partners LLC, and Airversity Drone Training + Air Echo Drone Services. Together, we are making a tangible difference. #SOAR SAVES LIVES #DroneTraining #UASTraining #UAS #LEO #PublicSafetyTraining #LawEnforcement #CommunitySafety #InnovationInAction
Retired Police Lieutenant and USAF CMSgt. Public Safety, UAS/Drone, Conservation and Security Professional.
Day two and three of MITRE SOAR’s Fundamentals of UAS Maneuvering course is complete and heading into the final day class consisting of large scale scenarios to ensure pilots are capable of flying actual public safety missions. The strength of this program is that it provides an excellent base for new pilots and sharpens the skills of experienced pilots. Almost all pilots passed their certifications with sub-7 minute scores on the basic open lane NIST course, and all made it under 8 minutes. A big thank you to Sgt. Fennessy and the Ocean Co NJ Sheriff Office for being an amazing host! #drones #publicsafety #police #fire #emergencymanagement #UAS #dronesforgood

The Technique Inference Engine (TIE) is a game-changer for cyber defenders. TIE uses machine learning to predict likely adversary activities from observed techniques. This means more effective and evidence-based threat detection. Congratulations to the Center and its Research Participants in pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity. Looking forward to seeing how TIE transforms security operations and enhances our defenses! #threatinformeddefense #cybersecurity #threathunting #cyberthreatintelligence
Integrating threat intelligence into cyber operations must be much easier. Threat hunters, SOC Analysts, cyber threat intel teams, and red teams should have easy access to information about prior attacks to inform their actions. The Technique Inference Engine (TIE) uses machine learning to predict likely adversary activities based on observed techniques. Trained on prior attacks, TIE allows analysts to input observed MITRE ATT&CK techniques and generate a list of predicted techniques. With TIE’s intelligence-based prediction: ⭐ hunters will know what to look for next after finding signs of adversary behavior ⭐ CTI teams can create more complete reporting with knowledge of related behaviors ⭐ SOC analysts can write more effective detections of complex threats with evidence-based decision-making We are grateful to our research participants who came together to make this project possible. Thank you Citi, Cyber Threat Alliance, Fortinet, Google Cloud, HCA Healthcare, IBM Security, Lloyds Banking Group, Tenable, and Verizon Business for your expertise and collaboration. Together, we're systematically advancing threat-informed defense for all. Let's change the game on the adversary! https://hubs.ly/Q02Pj3X40 #threatinformeddefense #cybersecurity #machinelearning #threathunting #cyberthreatintelligence
