This conference brings together a myriad of attendees, from state agencies, service providers, people with lived experience of homelessness, organizations that intersect with homelessness, and more. We have wonderful breakout sessions that reflect our theme and explore innovative solutions to end homelessness. Each year at the Annual Conference, the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless recognizes the efforts of groups and individuals with passion and drive for social and policy change. This year we will continue with four awards: Catalyst Award for Advocates of the Year, Luminary Award, Northern Light Award for Inspiring Organizational Leadership, and Rising Star Award. We will select one winner from Greater Minnesota and one winner from the 7-County Metro for both the Catalyst Award and the Northern Light Award. The winners will be invited to attend the first day of the Annual Conference to accept their awards. MCH Advocacy Fellow, Claudette, shares her experiences with the MCH Advocacy Fellowship Program so far, and she also releases a resource document that lists all the State funding sources related to homelessness and housing. "The MCH Advocacy Fellowship Program is a rewarding program that will push individuals like me out of their comfort zones and enable them to advocate and interact more and gain insights especially working with senators, aides and representatives within the MN House and MN Senate. I also had the opportunity to put together and finalize a resource document for Housing & Homelessness Programs assigned to me at the start of the Fellowship. This document lists all the State funding sources related to homelessness and housing.
