“I remember sitting in orientation and listening to the CEO speak very transparently about the vision and mission of MIND 24-7. My first thought was, “this is way too good to be true”. I was a skeptic from the start but since my first days at MIND 24-7, those words have grown into truths. I remember it being said, “we don’t say no” and my mind immediately thought, how are we going to serve people with no insurance or out of network. In my past ten years working in crisis, I’ve literally witnessed benefit specialists chase patients around the crisis floor attempting to get insurance information. (Even pts in a psychotic/manic state or fully detoxing)☹ I now watch MIND 24-7 stand behind this mission/vision day by day. I watch a team of professionals come together for case-by-case situations and I’m in awe! There is no end to the team building that is happening at Mind24/7. Not only for patients but for the individuals that make up the TEAM. Since orientation, I have had the opportunity to promote into a place of leadership/management within this great organization. I’m grateful for the chance and opportunity to serve a population with such a great need in a place where the answer is not “NO” but rather, “what can we do?” It’s funny because now I don’t wait for a clock to wake me up, it’s an opportunity that I’m awakened by. I don’t HAVE to come to work, I get the OPPORTUNITY to come to MIND 24-7! I’ve heard it said, “how is the sky the limit if there are footprints on the moon?” This would be my explanation of MIND 24-7! #UPUPandAWAY”
