September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness of this stigmatized, and often taboo, topic. We use this month to shift public perception, spread hope, and share vital information to people affected by suicide. Our goal is to ensure that individuals, friends, and families have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and to seek help. If you or someone you know needs support now, call or text 988, or start a chat at 988Lifeline.org. The 988 Suicide and Crisis hotline will connect you with a trained crisis counselor who can help. #SPM24 #BeThere #HeroforZero

From fears of cost to lack of trust in healthcare providers, there are still many concerns when it comes to mental health support. Branches Midtown, formerly the Excel Center of Midtown, is here to demystify these concerns. We have identified some of the most common reasons people avoid mental health outpatient programs – and provided guidance on how to overcome them. We want to express our sincere gratitude to our friends at Texas Recovery Centers - Addiction Campuses for surprising our staff with a snow cone truck last week! They wanted our staff to know how much they appreciate working diligently together to create comprehensive discharge plans for each person leaving our facility. At Millwood, we are committed to establishing great relationships with our many community partners as we strive to help people in their recovery journey.

Our staff celebrated our recent patient satisfaction scores in spud-tacular style with a lunch potato bar! Over 85% of our patients complete a patient satisfaction survey, which gives them an opportunity to share feedback with us about their treatment experience. On a scale of 1-5, our patients gave a rating of 4.57 when asked if they feel better upon leaving our care than when they were admitted. These scores continue to increase, and they reflect our ongoing focus on treating patients and families with dignity and respect. If you or someone you know is struggling with a mental health crisis or in need of detox services, call us at 817-261-3121, or stop by our hospital to speak with us in person.

We cover that and more in our latest blog post, which you can read by visiting http://spklr.io/6046sHtY.
