Holy moly check out the crowds we amassed this past weekend! It was a MACRC takeover at various Labor Day parades throughout our jurisdiction, including parades in Rockford, IL; Schaumburg, IL; Chicago, IL; Belleville, IL and Desloge, MO (pictured in order below). Thank you to EST Kevin McLaughlin, all our members and their families, as well as all of the elected officials who marched with us and spread Union pride! #Local664 Carpenters lended a hand at the 1820 Stevenson House Museum in Edwardsville IL. The old fence around the garden needed facelift, and luckily for them we had several members donate their time and skills to rebuild the fence. The mayor of Edwardsville Art Risavy stopped by to personally thank the members of 664 for taking on this project to better the community. Nice work Brothers! #CarpentersGiveBack #UnionProud

Thanks to everyone who came out to Springhill Suites in Lincolnwood today for #Local58’s rally against LAKHANI HOSPITALITY. LAKHANI refuses to hire contractors who pay area standards, wages, and benefits! We’ve fought hard for our area standards and need to let the public know when they’re being undercut by companies who bring in workers from out of state. Support unions! #MACRC #UnionStrong

What you're looking at is the final module of the 1.6 MILLION MODULES our members installed at the massive Double Black Diamond solar project located just outside Springfield, IL. It took 2 years to build Double Black Diamond, which is the largest solar project east of the Mississippi River, producing more than 1 million manhours for our members. And MACRC Carpenters did it all without a single accident! What a testament to our training, safety, and productivity. Congrats to everyone who got the job done! #UnionStrong #MidAmCarpenters

Even though our members are always building, they still find time to help out. Check out these apprentices in Joplin, MO who are building a new wood-frame garage for one of their neighbors after it had been torn down in a recent storm. Great job, Brothers! Built in 1927, the elegant Broadview Hotel was a crown jewel during East St. Louis’ heyday. We’re turning these 110 units (vacant for the past 20 years) into the new $45 million Broadview Apartments for veterans and senior citizens. Union Carpenters are playing a big part in the construction resurgence that’s happening all over East St. Louis today. #MidAmCarpenters #UnionProud

MACRC members made a trip to the ITC in Las Vegas for the 3rd Year Apprentice Program: Helping Build Our Industries. The program helps experienced apprentices gain a further understanding of their Union, the intricacies of the construction industry, and how union members play in the success of both.
