The Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge (MECC) empowers college and university students worldwide to stand out by enhancing their Excel proficiency and logical thinking skills. Through engaging monthly challenges and competitive events, both online and in-person, MECC makes the learning process practical, enjoyable, and highly rewarding. Best of all, this program is completely free of charge. FOR STUDENTS: MECC offers two main components to help students excel: Challenges: Self-paced tasks covering a range of topics from personal finance models to advanced Excel functions. Competitions: Timed events where students test their skills against peers globally, with top performers earning a spot in the Finals held in Las Vegas. FOR PARTNER SCHOOLS Enhance your programs with MECC content and provide your students with opportunities to excel in Excel. Partner schools can also field a 3-student team for the in-person Finals in Las Vegas, showcasing their institution on a global stage. Here's everything you need to know: 🚨 📊 What: MECC Online Excel Esports Battle 🕒 When: September 19, 4:30 PM London Time | 11:30 AM ET 👥 Who can participate: All students registered for MECC 🌐 Where: The Excel case will be released on the ExPrep platform 🛠️ How it works: You’ll have 30 minutes to tackle the Excel case and show off your skills. 🎯 Why participate? This is your chance to compete with students from around the world and put your Excel skills to the test. Plus, the top 5 players will: ✔ Qualify for the MECC Finals in Las Vegas, earning a spot in the Semi-Finals ✔ Receive paid registration for the Active Cell Training Camp ✔ Enjoy shared accommodation at the Luxor Hotel during the finals ❓ What if I haven’t signed up for MECC yet? However, the same case will be posted as a training challenge afterward so everyone can give it a try. 📚 Can I practice beforehand? Yes! Congratulations to the Main Draw Qualifiers! 🥳 The competition has been fierce, and we're excited to announce that the Top 16 players after Stage 6 of the Financial Modeling World Cup Season 2024 have secured their spots in the Main Draw of the Microsoft Excel World Championship, starting on October 26. 🏆 Stage 6 is the last FMWC stage before MEWC starts, thus it is used as a cut-off point. These incredible competitors have proven their skills and are now headed to the next competition!
