On behalf of Director Washington, Baraga Correctional Facility Warden Terry Wilkins presented the following staff with Lifesaving Awards: ⭐ Corrections Officer Tony Datto ⭐ Corrections Officer Riley McIntyre During the award presentation, the two were acknowledged for their actions, which resulted in saving a prisoner's life. While supervising the yard, CO Datto and CO McIntyre noticed a prisoner fall to the ground while playing basketball. They immediately alerted Health Care staff, utilized the AED, and began chest compressions until medical assistance arrived. That’s a wrap on the harvest season for Cooper Street Correctional Facility! Throughout the season, the facility donated a total of 8,077 pounds of fresh vegetables to The Salvation Army in Jackson. These donations are only possible with the prisoners at JCS and the staff who oversee the program.
