Today we celebrate International Nonbinary People’s Day! This day raises awareness of the issues the nonbinary community face such as barriers to gender expression, gender affirming care, and an increased risk of gender based violence. When we proudly and loudly support this community and create safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community we are saving lives. Today is a great day to educate yourself about the nonbinary identity and ways you can challenge discrimination. ID: A purple background features a non-binary pride flag on the left and a coordinating banner on the right. Below it reads "International Non-Binary People's Day" above three people standing together.

Yesterday marked the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This monumental legislation prohibited discrimination on a number of bases at the federal level. It led the way for Michigan's very own Elliot-Larsen Civil Rights Act. Check out this statement from Director of MDCR. https://ow.ly/aHpf50SuXPw
