MiSTEM Network Region 10 Director Dr. Betsy L. Diegel recently helped support the Million Girls Moonshot camp at @SVSU. Middle and high school students designed hydrorockets and then tested their creations, among other fun hands-on activities. Many of the students had never been on SVSU’s campus before. This was a great opportunity to feature the university and give students the college experience. The initiative seeks to engage millions of girls in STEM learning opportunities to help reimagine who can be an engineer, who can build and who can make. This event aligns with MiSTEM’s goal to better engage youth and promote access, equity and inclusion for girls in STEM.
