About us
We envision a community where our children thrive, strong households create pathways out of poverty to prosperity, and Greater Louisville is an equitable community where zip code doesn't determine destiny. Because systemic community challenges are most often rooted in multiple causes, Metro United Way harnesses the power of donors, volunteers, thought leaders,s experts, other nonprofits, and government at all levels to ensure positive, sustainable change. Join our community on a brighter path forward. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED.

Today we honor those who keep our country running across industries and pay scales. Every person who labors deserves a living wage, the right to unionize, and time for rest! Metro United Way is proud to partner with local labor unions on many projects. 💪 We also thank our own staff on this holiday and hope they are enjoying the day off! We are nothing without our workforce. #LIVEUNITED #laborday

This weekend marked a powerful milestone with our first women’s soccer cohort meeting at William Harris Park. We welcomed 21 amazing girls who speak over 5 dialects and attend 15 different schools. Soccer has brought them together, creating a new, inclusive community! As one of the few women to establish and lead an ethnic-based community organization, I've faced my share of doubts: - What am I doing? - Where will the funding come from? - Can it be sustainable? - Can I really lead? - What if I fail? Despite these self-doubts, my WHY has been my constant guide. It’s what drives me to keep moving forward. To all the women out there who are pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo: never lose sight of your WHY. Trust in your vision and your strength! Thank you to Metro United Way for providing us the opportunity to host our first women empowerment session through their capacity building grant. #WomensEqualityDay #WomenEmpowerment #CommunityLeadership #BuildingChange #InclusionThroughSports #DiversityMatters #LeadershipJourney #StayInspired #MoreThanASmile
