CLIENT SPOTLIGHT - Wicked Good Cupcakes Wicked Good Cupcakes was founded by a mother-daughter team from Boston, Mass. Inspired after taking a baking class together, Tracey and Danielle began posting pictures of their creations online for family and friends. This led to opening a store in 2011, followed by getting an investment on Shark Tank ABC. The founders were looking for non-traditional ways to increase distribution and grow and scale their business with the ultimate goal being to create a successful exit for their family. Meriwether Group created and executed a growth strategy that included identifying franchise partners and new channels of distribution. We used our industry connections to create a strong partners list, produced the tools needed for outreach and made introductions that led to national expansion. The Power of And in death. Writing this post is gutting. Over the weekend, I lost one of my closest friends, a soul sister and a business partner. Naomi was a truly extraordinary individual who embraced the Power of And in every facet of her life. Naomi was my soul friend and my business partner, embodying a unique blend of strength and softness. She was a powerful businesswoman and a creative chef, seamlessly combining her entrepreneurial acumen with an unmatched artistic flair in the kitchen. I had the honor of being a financial partner to her and her husband - and to play a small part in building something exceptional, fueled by her warrior spirit, commitment to quality, community and boundless creativity. Her ability to embrace And extended far beyond our professional relationship. Naomi was a sensitive AND honest friend and community builder - I always knew where I stood with her and how she felt - there was no bullshit - no sugar coating. She was real -in a rare - sometimes challenging but always compassionate and honest way! Her empathy and compassion knew no bounds, and she dedicated herself to fostering connections and building a supportive network around her. She had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and heard, creating a sense of belonging wherever she went. Naomi was also an independent woman and an incredible mom. She navigated the complexities of motherhood with the same grace and strength she brought to her professional life. Her love and dedication to her family were evident in everything she did, and she inspired many with her ability to balance her roles with such elegance and resilience. Naomi possessed a rare combination of being both strong and soft. Her warrior spirit and gentle heart made her a force to be reckoned with, and she touched the lives of everyone she met in profound ways. She taught us all the true meaning of the Power of And, showing us that we can be powerful and creative, sensitive and strong, independent and loving. Naomi's legacy is one of strength, creativity, compassion, and love. She will be deeply missed, but her impact on our lives and our community will never be forgotten. Naomi had a very very strong spiritual practice and belief. She knew we were all connected and that something far greater was at work beyond our lives in this place - I’m sure she is now in that greater place AND for us that are here - well, it sucks she is gone.
