Today, we celebrated an impressive milestone! Memorial Health’s robotic surgery team has now performed more than 11,000 procedures since the program began in 2010. He is the son of Janie Peaster, clinical nurse coordinator in our women’s services division. Luke is a sophomore at University of Georgia, where he is majoring in International Affairs. The Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship helps dependents of colleagues pursue two or four-year post-secondary undergraduate degrees with merit-based scholarships of up to $5,000 a year. This local organization supports breast cancer patients through programs that help with physical & emotional healing. Memorial Health and our Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute are proud to support their good work.

Some of our senior leaders had the honor today to walk in the world of our clinical team members. They shadowed a few of our colleagues to better understand their roles and identify opportunities to support them as they care for our patients. Each colleague was given a new pair of orange sneakers to remember this day. #WeShowUp

At Memorial Health, We Show Up…even in inclement weather! Our quality department volunteered yesterday at P.A.C.K. (People of Action Caring for Kids) to stuff bags of food to be sent home with children who struggle with weekend hunger. Their efforts were much appreciated as many of these bags were delivered today due to weather-related school closings. It is always a privilege to serve this worthwhile organization.
