Melinta’s commitment to community was on full display as colleagues from our Lake Forest and Parsippany offices volunteered their time to support local farms dedicated to addressing food insecurity—an issue directly tied to health equity for Melinta’s Day of Giving program. In Lake Forest, three groups from our office spent the day at Elawa Farms Foundation, helping with essential tasks like weeding, harvesting, and cleaning. Elawa Farms' mission to provide nutritious food and experiential learning in the community aligns perfectly with our values. A special thanks to Jenn Hughes, Terry Smith, Scott Kirkner, Jim Summers, Anabelle Cavero, Victor Lazzeretti, Ruby Wan, Brij Patadiya, Andrew Grigore Buzdugan, Azadar Zaidi, MBA, Ali Chowdhury, Shilpi Pachauri, Iris Tran, Kirk Ridge, Jen Ambrosini, and Mike Lipsey who made a real impact. Meanwhile, in Parsippany, our team braved the rain and mud at Grow A Row farm, harvesting 28,000 pounds of potatoes—enough for 110,000 servings! This Small but Mighty crew included Matt Balogh, Richard Carlo, Melissa Clark, Janice Capobianco, Margaret (Meg) Harkins, Susan Fodera, Madison Malone, Christina Stamler, Kara Vuong, and Bruce Walterick, who showed incredible teamwork to help local families in need. Food insecurity poses a major challenge to health equity. Without reliable access to nutritious food, families are at a higher risk for chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and obesity—conditions that disproportionately affect underserved communities. By supporting local farms that provide healthy food options to those in need, Melinta’s passionate and purposeful team is helping bridge this gap and promote healthier, more equitable communities. Melinta’s Day of Giving program offers employees a day off to volunteer so our team members can make a real impact. Proud to work alongside colleagues who are committed to making a difference! #DayofService #HungerActionMonth #HealthEquity #Community #MelintaEmployees
