At the #CIMMSummit Day 2, we got to speak about one of our very favorite topics: Incrementality. Incrementality can take many shapes, whether you're talking about audience reach or lifts in outcomes. Rachel Herbstman discussed how Ampersand leverages its rich viewing data set to pull the right levers to find the right audiences and drive incremental reach. "When clients come to us with unique audiences, we use data enabled techniques to either increase reach to that niche audiences or just increase frequency to that niche audiences, something that may not be able to happen in national or digital activations." Our approach to this morning's session "Data Havens: Real World Wins + Innovations in Cleanrooms" at Advertising Week was not to just collect a group of thought leaders who could speak about what cleanrooms could be. Instead, we built a panel of true partners, discussing what clean rooms have been and will be. From brand (Hill's Pet Nutrition), publisher (#Ampersand), data measurement (Numberly) and cleanroom architects (LiveRamp), the full spectrum of cleanroom activations were represented. What did we learn? 🤝 - Hill's Pet being on the ground floor of cleanroom activations required great partnerships, tremendous trust and the confidence that all parties were really leaned in. 💾 - Tech and data? That's easy ( 😉 ) its what you decide to do with it that brings the challenges. 🔏 - Data safety is table stakes. You don't even begin the conversation without it. The technology enforces it. ✅ - The clean room journey "has a big messy middle…but is absolutely worth it." When your brand reduces waste by 50% while increasing reach by 40% and conversions by 70%....we tend to agree: It's worth it. THAT is #MovingTVForward.
