In addition, the truck was able to stop by our Children and Youth Center. They were as passionate as the foundation staff that were serving that day." We're still BUZZING from our first-ever statewide School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison conference! The energy in this room was incredible... the sharing of resources, ideas, and INSPIRATION was life changing! This program has grown in great ways over the last few years thanks to Gov. Bill Lee, the Tennessee General Assembly, and our community mental health provider partners.

Helen Ross McNabb Center recently cut the ribbon on Tennessee's first Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) Unit. MHM was honored to work with McNabb on renovating the 13,993 sq. ft. facility in North Knoxville which provides individuals over 18 years old immediate access to psychiatric care for evaluation and medication in a calm, supportive, trauma-informed, therapeutic environment. The McNabb Center's Elevate Recovery High School staff had the opportunity to attend The Association of Recovery Schools (ARS) & The Association of Alternative Peer Groups (AAPG) conference in San Diego last week. The conference theme centered around “The Future of Scholastic Recovery: Advancing Recovery-Readiness”. McNabb staff were able to collaborate with a broad and diverse global network to advocate for a continuum of support and a readiness for student transition in and out of Recovery High Schools. McNabb staff also participated in an informative series of workshops to address all aspects of creating, developing, maintaining and regulating an Alternative Peer Group (APG).
