Sharing Our Insights: A career in loss adjusting still remains the best kept secret in the professional services world. Let’s be honest, one will struggle to find a young-aspiring professional or a college grad who wakes up one day and says: “I’m going to become a loss adjuster!” It’s true, loss adjusting and claims management plays an important role in the professional insurance services world. Hi all Hope all good with you. Further to my previous post, just a quick update to let you know that last Sunday I managed to complete Ironman Copenhagen in 11hr 35m 30secs. A brilliant course and event. The busy 2.4 mile swim took place around open water Amager Beach lagoon before leading on to the 112 mile bike route, firstly through the closed city centre streets and then onto the very picturesque rolling countryside north of Copenhagen. A long 20 mile straight stretch of road back into the city centre for the 26 mile run and four lap course which took in amazing landmarks such as the Opera House, Amalienborg Palace, Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid statue. The crowds and support were incredible throughout the (excruciating!) run and quite an incredible experience finishing on the IM red carpet in front of the Christiansborg Palace and busy grandstands either side! As per my previous note, I was attempting this challenge to raise extremely important funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre. A fantastic charity (of which Liz Tubb does a brilliant job as Chair), helping people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s and stroke survivors by offering a number of life changing and supportive therapies and treatments that are effective for the patient. I am absolutely delighted to confirm that thanks to everyone’s brilliant generosity, £2,789 has been raised. Our New Zealand Corporate Day brought together teams from HR, Finance, Marketing, and IT for an inspiring day of collaboration, strategy and innovation. We kicked off with a fun spaghetti team challenge (have you ever tried building a tall tower using only spaghetti, marshmallows, and tape?). The day wrapped up with an exciting escape room adventure, followed by a well-earned networking dinner.
