Excited to announce a new partnership between Northwestern's Querrey InQbation Lab (The Q) and Material Impact! Material Impact has been at the forefront of #deeptech investing and has already invested in two Northwestern University #startups, Mattiq and NanoGraf Corporation, as well as Foundation Alloy, a venture emerging from the work of Northwestern’s dean of the McCormick School of Engineering. Moving forward, Material Impact will work closely with The Q to unlock additional opportunities from Northwestern’s research portfolio. The event featured remarks from Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister, Heng Swee Keat, who announced an exciting collaboration between Amperesand and PSA unboXed/PSA International. Together, they will pilot Amperesand's solid-state transformer (SST) platform at Singapore’s port. Through this collaboration, Amperesand will showcase the capability of their SST to serve as an intelligent grid interface for fleet charging applications. This partnership involves a pilot trial of Amperesand’s solid-state transformer (SST) technology at Singapore’s port, as part of PSA's planned upcoming charging facilities for its fleet of electric prime movers. PSA unboXed is the external innovation and corporate venture capital arm of PSA International. Amperesand will deploy our groundbreaking #SolidStateTransformer (SST) technology at Singapore’s port. Our SST technology will provide efficient, high-power charging infrastructure for PSA’s electric vehicle fleet.
