In addition, we investigate marketing challenges involved in creating, sustaining and reinventing brands as well as gain an understanding of corporate level discourse.

  • Happy Labor Day! 🎉 Labor Day is a U.S. holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September, honoring the contributions and achievements of workers and the labor movement. It marks a time to recognize the importance of fair labor practices and the efforts that have shaped the modern workforce. Originating in the late 19th century during the height of the Industrial Revolution, as labor unions advocated for better working conditions, fair wages, and reasonable hours, the first Labor Day parade took place in New York City in 1882. Americans celebrate Labor Day with a variety of activities that mark the unofficial end of summer. Many people enjoy barbecues, picnics, and outdoor gatherings with family and friends. Others take advantage of the long weekend by going on trips, attending parades, or participating in community events. It's also a popular time for back-to-school shopping and enjoying final summer sales. However you're celebrating, we wish you a wonderful (and hopefully) relaxing day! - - - - - #LaborDay #HardWork #Celebrate #endofsummer #dayoff #americanholiday

  • Some hot tips for the incoming Masters in Branding Class of 2025 🔥 As you prepare to begin this exhilarating journey with us, Chanel Gilcrease — recent grad from the Class of 2024 — has some tips to get you through the next 10 months. 😳 Tip 1: Don't be shy! Make some friends in the program. You can lean on each other and have a good time. 🤔 Tip 2: Ask the stupid question. As professor Mark Kingsley often reminds us, "You don't fail us by failing, you fail us by not trying." 😊 Tip 3: Find something that makes you happy and do it everyday, even if it's something small. These activities will help you stay rejuvenated and energized throughout the year. 😋 Tip 4: Eat healthy! I suggest Just Salad's delicious Thai Crunch Salad and a peanut butter smoothie. We can't wait to meet all of you. See you very soon! Min Sun investigates how brands and signals adapt to different cultures worldwide, showcasing how culture acts as the heartbeat of branding. From food and fashion to simpler things like traffic lights, every culture has its unique fingerprint. The 100-Day Project began as the brainchild of designer, Michael Bierut, who assigned his students to choose a design operation to repeat every day for 100 days. Now we get our students to participate in the 100-Day project too. Allowing them to self-direct a project that they are passionate about as well as practicing resiliency, consistency, preparedness, and determination.
