About us
Living mutual has always been at the core of our human existence, and it's the principle that's guided us since our founding in 1851. It's not a concept we invented, but one we champion for the simple reason that people take it for granted today. While the world would have us strive for independence, the truth is when we depend on one another, we aren't just more secure - life is happier and more fulfilling. So as we celebrate our new identity, we're reminding everyone that who we are stays the same. We’d also like to thank our MassMutual volunteers for helping to make this year’s picnic a huge success.

Since 2015, the MassMutual Foundation has partnered with EVERFI from Blackbaud to help bring financial literacy to students across all fifty states and Puerto Rico. Today, we celebrate reaching over 5 million students through our FutureSmart program! Learn more about this innovative program and its effectiveness from our Head of Community Responsibility:
I’ve written in previous LinkedIn posts about how the power of collaboration is an integral part of our work at the MassMutual Foundation. One noteworthy collaboration of ours reached a major milestone this year: together with Ray Martinez and the team at EVERFI from Blackbaud, our FutureSmart financial education platform for students throughout every state in the U.S. and Puerto Rico surpassed five million learners. Great collaborations like this one rely on alignment of values, a willingness to engage innovative approaches, and a commitment to results over the long term. I’m happy to share a conversation Ray and I recently had about the road that got us to this important moment and that will lead us onward to six million students…
