Someday we'll tell our grandkids that we used to never leave the house without a wallet full of laminated cards. Those days are coming to an end. Today you don't need your wallet or phone to buy food, drink, or even alcohol at BMO Stadium, thanks to the innovation of Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and our partner Wicket. All you need is your face. Mashgin is thrilled to be part of this wallet-free future. You're you, and that's all you need!
Technology Leader - start-up, Fortune 500, pro sports and live events/concert experience, multinational ops background
Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) has taken a bold step into the future of guest experience at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles by integrating the Wicket Facial Authentication Platform for age verification and payment into all of our state-of-the-art Mashgin AI-powered checkout systems. We're excited to help Cleveland Browns fans purchase their food and drink without missing the action, by supporting Express Access with facial recognition. Now fans at Huntington Bank Field can buy their hot food and beer in just seconds, without even pulling out their phones or wallets. And the fans love it: with 24% adoption in peak periods during the first two regular season game. A big win for the Browns and their fans. https://lnkd.in/gzTJ_Kws

Thank you to Bret McCormick and Sports Business Journal for recognizing our efforts at Auburn University, and how they're helping the program grow their gameday revenue. "Fifty Mashgin units were introduced as part of a grab-and-go market overhaul. Some 60% of the stadium’s lower-level concessions now consist of that setup, which is extra helpful in a stadium that has no kitchens... In the Tigers’ season opener -- the Tigers play the first five games at home this season, giving Hobart plenty of early data -- overall transactions increased by more than 10,000, a 25% increase year-over-year. In the second game, transactions went up by 9,000 from the first game, topping 59,000 (Auburn averaged 43,000 per game last year). Some stands saw 30% increases in sales."
It's the first SBJ Facilities newsletter!?! https://lnkd.in/emsuB24E Where I look at the major changes happening around the Mets/Willets Point Long Island Railroad Station (i.e. development/renovations by New York Mets, New York City FC, and (USTA) United States Tennis Association) + how Auburn Athletics Department is picking low-hanging revenue fruit at Jordan-Hare Stadium with investment in premium and Mashgin + and, conversely, how Virginia Tech Athletics opted for a different way to generate a couple million dollars of revenue, with LEARFIELD Amplify's help

Circle K smart checkout strategy is looking more and more like a winner to me. Many stores now have two of these Mashgin systems. Seen here in Sweden. I first saw the earliest version of this on a Hong Kong study tour we organised some years ago. It’s proving much more successful in the convenience store space than the multiple cameras, autonomous store approach, (it seems to me), yet still frees up staff time and allows them to focus on new food prep tasks and reduce workload. Experience with self-checkout in the UK tells me that it takes a few years to ‘habitualize’ and train up customers to self checkout so this kind of thing always takes off gradually but builds to be really important given time. For the convenience space I prefer this kind of system to the UK version which requires scanning and asking staff to monitor customers over their shoulder. Well done Circle K.

Thrilled to see how innovation continues to redefine the customer journey! At Mashgin we’re proud to be leading the evolution in self-checkout technology, making transactions faster and more efficient. Great work Rhett and the Auburn team on creating a truly seamless experience!
This past Saturday, we introduced an all new concessions experience for more than 𝟲𝟬% of the stands across Jordan-Hare Stadium. The 𝙁𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙁𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 experience was a complete retrofit of the traditional stadium stands which was designed to get fans back to their seat faster ⤵️ 1️⃣ Grab your food & beverage 2️⃣ Proceed to self-checkout 3️⃣ Return to your seat Proud of the work of our team to bring this new concept to life - thanks in large part to Morgan Smith, Daniel Watkins, Brent McNeely Zach Springer & others!

I spoke with Levy Restaurants CEO Andy Lansing about the company's new venue client, Soldier Field - ASM Global, a special one for the company and for Lansing, a third-generation Chicago Bears season ticket holder. Lots of info in here on immediate changes Levy made after taking over from Aramark S+E, including major upgrades to POS system, part of a $12M capital investment.
