Q: How did you get involved with domain management?  🔵 I worked in the Social Work field for about eight years and felt it was time for a career change. I checked out the classifieds in the local Boise paper and read an ad from a startup called Markmonitor. They were looking to hire a Customer Service Professional in charge of managing corporate domain portfolios (yes, 22 years ago, people looked in the paper at want ads 😊). I didn’t have any domain management experience, but felt I had a pretty good grasp of what good customer service was, so I researched the company and the position.  They both seemed interesting, so I sent my resume, was interviewed, and hired. And as they say, the rest is history!    Q: What do you like best about working at Markmonitor? 🔵 I really like the domain industry, and I enjoy our clients who work for some of the largest companies in the world and have the biggest brand names.  However, what do I like BEST about working at Markmonitor? That’s easy, the colleagues I work with are the best! Not only are they some of the best people I know, but we are also all domain nerds who enjoy what we do.     Q: What has been your biggest accomplishment within your current role? 🔵 The most significant accomplishment in my role has been knowing that I have contributed to our company's overall development and success. When I first started at Markmonitor, we were a very small startup with about 20 people in our Boise office. Today, through determination and hard work, we are the world leader in corporate domain management. Q: How do you collect and act on customer feedback to enhance service quality?   🔵 We strive for great customer service. Throughout the year, we constantly ask for and act on client feedback. We also send out detailed customer satisfaction and product surveys for our clients to answer, and I am proud to say that our Net Promotor Score is consistently high!
