Thanks to a grant from the Governor's Office, ARIZONA@WORK Maricopa County launched the "Workforce 2 You" pilot program, offering no-cost training programs in the rural communities of Gila Bend, Wickenburg, and Queen Creek. In partnership with Maricopa Corporate College, the 10-12 week programs provide training for in-demand careers, allowing participants to learn new skills without traveling far into the Phoenix metro area. ▶ Watch the video to learn more about the Workforce 2 You Medical Coding program currently underway in Gila Bend.

After years of continuously rising opioid overdoses, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that overdose deaths decreased 3% in 2023.
