October was filled with hope and joy as together, we created 34 life-changing wishes for kids fighting critical illnesses. Thank you for joining us in this important work. We couldn't do it without YOU!

Today, we are celebrating our Office & Accounting Manager, Crystal's 20th anniversary with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. Crystal does so much work behind the scenes to help make wishes come true and support the entire Make-A-Wish team. We are deeply grateful to you, Crystal!

Our Volunteers of the month for August/September are Paula and Craig Hokanson. Their daughter had T-cell leukemia as a child, resulting in aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, a bone marrow transplant and more than any child should have to endure. "Her wish to go to Italy was a time of healing, making fresh, beautiful memories and a distinct time of reset for better days ahead. It also opened her world. That was her first international trip. She is now 26 years old, living in Boston. She has a master's degree from UC Berkeley and is an astrophysicist working at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Whenever she has a chance, she is traveling. When our daughter was healthy, we planned to jump on board, somehow, and be a part of Make-A-Wish helping children who, like our daughter, are in a fight for their life. Our favorite part of wish granting is meeting each unique child and family. They all have their own story, their own struggles and unique ways of getting through such a difficult journey." Thank you, Paula and Craig for all you do for wish kids and their families.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Wisconsin ATV/UTV Charity Ride in loving memory of wish kid Liam. Their collective efforts raised $22,500 to help grant more wishes for kids like Liam.

The Packers scored 3 more field goals on Sunday, taking the season total to 16 which means $16,000 so far to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin from our generous friend, Richard Kessler. Thank you, Richard for helping grant wishes for kids like Jaxon! Go Pack Go!

The NE Plexus Young Professionals Group held their annual golf outing in support of local wish kids this past September! Through their amazing efforts, they raised $10,711 to help grant TWO life-changing wishes. Thank you, NE Plexus for your incredible generosity and support, all while being a beacon of hope for our wish kids and their families!

Elaina received a surprise celebration from her classmates in anticipation of her wish to go to Hawaii. It was such a special moment for Elaina. We can't wait to hear about her wish and the impact it is making. See her story below.
