Okay mi gente—story time!
How I went from "wait, they want ME on camera?!" to being a LinkedIn Learning instructor.
So, right about this time last week, I’m stepping out of hair and makeup (yes, even short hair and beards need some love) and into the studio, over caffeinated, ready to record my newest online course with Madecraft.
Months of prepping, scripting (shout out to my Producer Thomas Schiferl) and hella bloopers later (shout out to my Director Michael Harthen for laughing through it with me)—it was a wrap!
It all started a few years ago when Brad Batesole caught one of my podcast interviews and recruited me on LinkedIn to design online courses for distribution (if I were a musician, this would be like getting picked up by a record label).
That invite turned into an Author of the Year award after my first course got picked up by LinkedIn Learning and Cornerstone OnDemand.
Now we’ve collaborated on a few courses, reached tens of thousands of learners around the globe, and let me tell you—it's been a really fun and amazing journey.
The messages I get from learners inspire me to push past all the Imposter Syndrome, perfectionism, and overthinking and to keep showing up to do what I love.
Today I’m out here, feeling all kinds of thankful, vibing at my highest frequency, and excited to contribute at the next level.
Who knew a podcast interview could lead to all this? (shout out to my publicist Christina Lenkowski)
Keep going mi gente—you never know who's paying attention to your shine and ready to give you a bigger stage.
