Last week, Luminaut was proud to take part in the Library Journal Design Institute right in our backyard at the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library Downtown Main Branch! We got to hear from our Library Market Leader, Erin Jennings, IIDA, AIA, NCIDQ, NCARB, on two panels as she discussed the framework for a successful project and how to design resilient libraries for our communities. We then had the opportunity to partner with the Salem Township Public Library to discuss the real-life design challenges they face. Representatives from Salem Township and Design Institute attendees from all over the country (and world!) were invited to participate in our brainstorming session. The group set out to find ways in which we can overcome specific barriers through architecture and design. A very special thank you to Library Journal for putting together yet another amazing Design Institute event. Our team had a blast! #architecture #librarydesign #library #interiordesign Amanda Searfoss Matthew Ireton Eric Rowland

The recipient of the 2024 Sallie Rowland Bright Futures Scholarship is Addison Jenkins! 💡 The Sallie Rowland Bright Futures Scholarship is in honor of the beloved trailblazer and founder of Rowland Design, Sallie Rowland. The scholarship is offered to an exemplary student pursuing a future in the architecture or interior design industry that we feel is breaking barriers, just as Sallie did. Addison is a student at Winthrop University studying Interior Design. Out of 72 applicants, we selected her due to her outstanding academic achievements and because we believe she is truly living the values of Luminaut both inside and outside the classroom! Congratulations, Addison. 🎉 We cannot wait to see all the bright things you do as an Interior Designer!

We partnered with @Hamilton County County Area Neighborhood Development (HAND Inc.) to create the brand-new Cumberland Cottages in Fishers, IN. This new development features 11 rental units, a mixture of income-based and market-rate two- and three-bedroom options centered around a family-focused, shared community space and garden. These units are both beautifully and functionally designed. They have sustainable design features that not only provide environmental benefits for residents but will also reduce utility costs. #neighborhood #architecture #indiana

This year at our Fall All-Firm Meeting we introduced a brand new recognition for our Nauts, The Spark Salute. Our first ever honoree is none other than Shraddha Shetty! This acknowledgement is given to a team member who has been with us for 1-2 years, and in that time, has already begun igniting a spark in their career. We are so grateful for the hard work that Shraddha puts in day in and day out here at Luminaut. She is a great addition to our team and we are so happy to have her here!

Some good old-fashioned Luminaut fun. Last week we gathered in the Historic Woodruff Place Neighborhood in Indianapolis to recap this year's successes, celebrate our talented team, and explore historic Indy architecture. Special thank you to Indiana Landmarks for our tour of Woodruff Place, and to Randy Veatch for hosting us! It was one for the books.
