Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth at The Battery Show this week! We had so many great conversations about how industrial CT and our newly announced Ultra-Fast CT can be applied to battery development to resolve issues and prevent failures. Curious to learn more about industrial CT? Check out our intro to CT videos here: https://lnkd.in/gSWqQwSD

Thanks for coming out and letting us scan your bike fork Scott Ramsay! Check out the importance of inspecting a carbon fiber bike fork after an accident and the use of industrial CT scanning to find hidden defects ⬇
Carbon fibre is an important material, but it has challenges including hidden damage accumulation leading to catastrophic failure. I recently made a short video about the safety of my carbon fibre bike fork following an accident. I had a terrific industrial CT scan (3D X-Ray) done at Lumafield to look for signs of internal damage during the accident. Very interesting results! Special thanks to Lauren Wotherspoon for filming and editing the video, Charlie Katrycz for his ideas, help with producing the video and getting me in touch with the wonderful people at Lumafield - Jon Bruner, Sarah Kobašlija, Kevin Cedrone, and Andreas Bastian. I think the video turned out really nicely! (https://lnkd.in/gU2ZHKdu)
I got doored! So I CT scanned my carbon fiber bike fork!

Pens are cheap and made by the billion, but behind this seemingly simple tool is some very precise engineering. We CT scanned 3 different styles of pen to see how they work and to reflect on the sophisticated manufacturing needed in these everyday writing utensils. Take a peek at the scans here 👇
