The LPA Diversity in Design Scholarship is making an impact. As Shohei Ohtani takes center stage in the World Series, the Los Angeles Times reports on a group of Japanese American players who gathered at the Manzanar National Historic Site to honor the resilience of their ancestors who played baseball behind barbed wire during WWII. The Los Angeles Times shared some great photos of the Space Shuttle Inspiration, in pieces, on its way to be refurbished before its installation at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey, California. Athletic Business included LPA's renovation of Broughton Recreation Center in Longview, Texas, in the 2024 Facilities of Merit showcase, an annual program recognizing exceptional design and construction of sports facilities.
