The Dreaded Dirt Beast Deep in the night, when the full moon's bright, Lurks a creature born of fright, A monstrous fiend with teeth of steel, That crunches dirt as its meal. With eyes like coal and breath of rust, Its iron jaws churn soil to dust. It slithers tall, its shadow wide, As hills and valleys bend and slide. Through mounds of earth, through rock and root, It gnaws and chews in its grim pursuit. Each bite reshapes the land anew, From grassy knolls to ditches, too. Farmers wake to fields reformed, Waters twist and hills transformed. A harrowing sight by morning's light— The landscape changed in just one night. They say this beast’s on a tireless quest, To carve the earth at its very best. With valleys deep and mountains tall, It shapes the land for one and all.
