This past Sunday, members of our LLUH family participated in the 17th annual Believe Walk—an inspiring 5K community event focused on raising funds and awareness for cancer prevention and treatment. It was a powerful day filled with unity, support, and hope. The funds raised during previous Believe Walks directly supported our Cancer Center’s advancement of promising therapies, including Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte (TIL) therapy, CAR T-cell therapy, theranostics, and Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). This year, we are excited to continue driving innovation in breast cancer treatment and offering care to those who need it most. Dr. Kaushik Mukherjee presented Lyndon Edwards, chief operating officer for Loma Linda University Health Hospitals, with the Surgical Quality Partner plaque from the American College of Surgeons for our Trauma Verification Program and Trauma Quality Improvement Program. Exciting advancement at Loma Linda University Health! We’re proud to be the first hospital in the Inland Empire to introduce the AGENT Drug-Coated Balloon (DCB) for treating in-stent restenosis (ISR). Typically, patients with coronary artery disease receive stents to keep arteries open and alleviate symptoms like chest pain and shortness of breath. However, these stents can sometimes become blocked again, leading to ISR. With the AGENT DCB technology, our team can now treat ISR without placing an additional metal stent, offering a more efficient and less invasive solution. 📸 Pictured from left: Ravi Masson (interventional cardiology fellow) Natthapon “Mint” Angsubhakorn (interventional cardiology fellow) Sean Lee (Senior Therapy Consultant with Boston Scientific) Vinoy Prasad (Director of Interventional Cardiology) Jonathan Wyngarden (Business Development Manager Boston Scientific)
