Throwback to August 1954 when the first of two YC-130 Hercules prototypes made its first flight from the Lockheed Air Terminal at Burbank, California, to 412th Test Wing, Edwards Air Force Base. Fast forward 70 years to August 2024, when a C-130J Super Hercules from the California Air National Guard took off from the same runway. Over seven decades, the Herc has continually evolved, adapting to the ever-changing needs of our global operators.
