Rounding out our month of Member Appreciation events we will be hosting our Northern Arizona event at White Dove Coffee. This is a opportunity to come and celebrate all the strides we've made over the past year and dream of a bright future for local businesses in Northern AZ. This year we will be changing it up and accommodating our early risers. We will have coffee for all our coffee lovers and some amazing pastries thanks to White Dove and a-OK. As an added bonus we will be celebrating White Dove's 20th year in business and thanking them for being such a huge asset to the Flagstaff community and Local First Arizona. Connection and collaboration are crucial to the success of all local businesses and we couldn't be more appreciative of all the support we've gotten from all of you here in Northern Arizona. Let's continue the conversation, grow the coalition and continue to advance the mission of creating a strong, diverse and sustainable Arizona economy and it all starts with our amazing Local Business partners! #LocalBusiness #Arizona

Addiction is not hopeless. Organizations like Steps to Recovery in my hometown of City of Cottonwood, Arizona are the proof. Local First Arizona hosted a rural funders visit to this nonprofit today, seeing how the first 90 days of structured living advances into a year of transitional housing all while holistic healing and behavioral change are coupled with job training, transportation and peer support to transform lives. It all adds up to hope, which is tough to quantify in any grant application. But good dialogue and thought partnership with Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority - NARBHA, AZ Impact for Good, PNC, Freeport-McMoRan and the U.S. Economic Development Administration will help Steps to Recovery pursue additional partnerships and financial supporters. Because in #RuralAZ we don’t just hope, we do, stretching limited resources in ways that defy the odds. #Nonprofits #WorkforceDevelopment
