We are excited to announce that Misty Irwin has been promoted to Assistant Academy Director at Lionheart Children's Academy at First Baptist Church Greenwood, OH! Misty is a mom of 8 children and 16 grandchildren! She moved to Indiana from upstate New York in March. Here's a little more about Misty in her own words: "I am overjoyed to be working for Lionheart in a position that allows me to serve and share Christ with children, their families, and our fabulous staff. Pouring the Love of Christ into people and sharing the Gospel of Christ is truly my passion. In my "down time" I enjoy our little homestead and the multiple animals that we have. I have many hobbies including reading, crafting, sewing, and painting. I also play multiple instruments. Before I came to Indiana I was in management but also ran a 501c3 theater company and taught music lessons, voice and piano." We are so glad Misty said "Yes" to Lionheart and are excited to see her bless the academy in her new role!

Happy 5th anniversary to Pam Wilhelm! Pam has faithfully taught our Pre-K class at Lionheart Children's Academy at 121 Community Church, bringing faith and fun to the days and ensuring children have a strong biblical foundation before they head off into kindergarten! We're so grateful for all the ways you have poured into this ministry, Pam! Happy anniversary!

We are excited to welcome Diane Jacobs as Assistant Academy Director at Lionheart Children's Academy at First Baptist Church Plano. Diane graduated from Philadelphia College Of Bible with a degree in Bible and elementary education certifications. Here's a little more about Diane in her own words: "I am a Yankee transplant, born and raised in New Jersey with five brothers. I was married for 23 years before my husband passed away. I have three grown children; all are married with children. I have twenty-one Grands who are my joy! I am a committed Christian. I love the Lord with all my heart and seek to actively serve God daily. I love teaching as well as working in administration. I look forward to loving on the staff, children and families of Lionheart." We're so glad to have you on the team, Diane!

Congratulations to Ashley Rhoads, our new Assistant Academy Director at Lionheart Children's Academy at Revive Church in Colorado. Ashley was just promoted after serving in the 3s classroom since October of 2023. Ashley has been working in child care for the past 10 years, and her passion for working with children began at a young age. Here's a little more about Ashley in her own words: "I enjoy watching the way children's faces light up with joy when they accomplish something new or learn something new. In my free time I enjoy snuggling up on the couch with my dog or cats with a good book in hand; working on a new diamond painting; or simply just spending time with my family and my friends. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my life as God continues to open doors for me and teaches me new things every day." We're grateful for Ashley and look forward to watching her grow in this new role!

What an absolute blessing it was to recount and celebrate all that God has done at Lionheart - and specifically our first academy at Lake Church in Arlington - during our 10th birthday party yesterday! We loved seeing Lionheart faces who have been there from the beginning, families who just joined, and everyone in between! We are so grateful to the Lake Church staff and congregation who have been such wonderful partners. They took a chance on the idea of Lionheart, prayed for this ministry since its inception, provided so much muscle (literally) to get us off the ground, and yesterday, took turns serving cake and pizza! Did we mention we had a blast, too! Enjoy some highlights of the day!
