This year’s event raised funds for three major charities: Make-A-Wish Illinois, FOP Lodge 52 Community Enrichment Fund, and the Glendale Heights Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. We welcome Steffany Orech as coordinator of Legat’s Oak Brook, Illinois studio. Steffany served as a supervisor or manager for most of her eight years at a Starbucks. Her tasks ranged from training employees and conducting performance reviews to customer service. Occasionally, she even tapped into her Spanish skills, developed at Northeastern University and through a study abroad program in Argentina.   Steffany has a diverse and impressive resume. As office and hospitality manager at Miller Cooper, one of the Chicago area’s largest accounting firms, Steffany organized events for hundreds of people. During the pandemic, she worked as an administrative case manager for Aldi’s coronavirus team. Most recently, Steffany’s experience as a preschool aid at St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in La Grange opened her eyes to a different population and gave her a lesson in patience.   Welcome Steffany. She’s up to the next challenge!

We look forward to joining North Scott Community School District and Bruce Builders for a grand reopening of the revitalized Lancer Stadium on September 13. The Legat-designed renovations enhance the guest experience with a variety of improvements highlighted by a new entry, new bleachers that seat 4,000, and a new facility with a concession window. The facility houses storage, laundry, coaches’ offices, restrooms, and separate varsity sport and gym class locker rooms. That same night, the Lancers will play their home opener on artificial turf for the first time!

Rooftop cheers for 60 years! Thanks to all who joined our Columbus studio to celebrate Legat’s 60th anniversary. The event took place on the rooftop patio at Budd Dairy Food Hall in the heart of Columbus’s Italian Village.

Our #quadcities studio participated in the Orion (Community Unit School District 223) Athletic Booster Club Golf Outing at Valley View Country Club. The annual event raises funds for the district’s athletic programs. Sammie Flagel, Tavia Weis, and Brandon Edwards interacted with golfers and led a putting challenge. Golfers chose from a hat which club they would use for a putt, then the member of the foursome who was closest to the hole won a prize.
