Leeward Renewable Energy’s (LRE) GSG Wind project in Lee and Lasalle Counties, Illinois was proud to welcome our neighbors over for a visit. As part of our commitment to community involvement, we partnered with local organization Reimagine Mendota to tour one of GSG Wind’s turbines. Local residents got to see the project up close and learn about these wind turbines in the heartland of Illinois. GSG Wind began operating in 2007 with 40 wind turbines. It was repowered in 2023 with all the original turbines replaced by 26 newer, more efficient ones. This site reflects LRE’s commitment to land stewardship, as our landowners continue to farm corn and soybeans on the GSG Wind site. #GSGWind #CommunityInvolvement #ReimagineMendota

LRE is a proud sponsor of the American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA) documentary, featuring our 200-megawatt Horizon Solar project in Frio County, Texas. The film highlights some of our favorite residents, the flock of sheep that graze near the site’s solar panels. They demonstrate the innovative practice of solar grazing and the crucial role farmers play in the clean energy ecosystem. Combining solar energy with grazing practices creates a harmonious balance between renewable energy production and agricultural land use. Our Ridgely Solar project in Lake County, Tennessee, celebrated the start of construction of the 177-megawatt project with a Community Luncheon. Attendees included local stakeholders, Leeward Renewable Energy, LLC (LRE) and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), which is purchasing the power. About 40 people attended, including the current and former mayors of Lake County, landowners and local representatives. Leeward Renewable Energy, LLC (LRE) recently secured our first-ever construction warehouse facility to support our continued investments in a rapidly growing operating portfolio. Initially, the $1.25 billion revolving facility will fund the construction of six fully contracted wind, solar and battery storage projects, totaling nearly 1 gigawatt of capacity, which are expected to be completed and begin operation throughout 2024 and 2025. Wells Fargo is the administrative agent for the three-year credit facility. We are pleased to have their continued support as well as the support of other leading financial institutions. This further demonstrates the market’s confidence in our strategy to deliver reliable, long-term renewable energy solutions for our customers and contribute meaningfully to the communities we serve and the environment.
