❗ Get ready: The Big Shred is back! This time, we’re bringing the free community shredding event to Lehigh Acres. The Big Shred will take place from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the East Lee County Government Complex, located at 600 Homestead Road South in Lehigh Acres. To take part in The Big Shred, all you have to do is drive up and hand off your confidential documents to a Clerk team member, who will then walk them to the on-site shredding truck for secure disposal. Documents must be in a box, and there is a limit of three per car. No plastic bags or electronics will be accepted. We hope to see you there! #YourLeeClerk

During the 2024 session, the Florida Legislature passed CS/CS/CS/SB 86 - Hope Cards for Persons Issued Orders of Protection, which requires Clerks of Court to develop and implement a Hope Card Program in Florida. This new program offers individuals who have been issued a final injunction for protection the opportunity to apply for a free, standardized “Hope Card” that can be used to verify with law enforcement that a protective court order covers them. #ClerksGiveBack Thank you to the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades for sharing this sweet video with us! #YourLeeClerk recently volunteered for the United Way Day of Caring, which took place at Midwest Food Bank – a United Way Partner Agency. Around 30 Clerk team members and their families volunteered on a Saturday to help sort and repack food and hygiene donations that will help members of our community who are in need. In just two hours, our team processed and separated 9,500 pounds of product, which is equivalent to 4.75 tons. It was a great day! 🎉
