Elections have policy consequences, especially in healthcare. Our colleagues are tracking the short term and long term agendas that will be shaped by the November 5th results. There are many items that will be tackled in a lame-duck session, but the tenor of that session will change based on the results. Control of both the House and Senate in 2025 will likely be determined by narrow margins, but the differences in the legislative agenda are vast. Leavitt Partners and CyncHealth are releasing the Playbook for Social Determinants of Health Referral Management and Data Exchange. The playbook is comprised of two main sections: 1. Overviews of significant federal policies that affect the collection and exchange of SDOH data, as well as an exploration of consent and identity management workflows. 2. Overviews of three key workflows and activities within SDOH data collection and exchange: SDOH screenings, referrals to social services, and planning for financial sustainability of SDOH workflows and processes.
