The 2024 Technology Management Career Pathways interns have just completed their Tech Department internship. They secured their positions last year through a competitive application and interview process, and they were selected after finishing 12 weeks of preparatory coursework. Over the summer, they engaged in various projects across the IU under the guidance of our Tech Department mentors. Their tasks included internal software development, setting up iPads and laptops, and ensuring all networks were fully operational for the new school year. The interns worked both independently and collaboratively to achieve these goals. We eagerly anticipate their achievements in both their academic and career pursuits. For more information regarding the Technology Management Career Pathway Program, please contact [email protected]. #workworthdoing

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) announced that $3.5 million in grant funding has been awarded to expand access to gifted education programming in schools and serve more students through the Pennsylvania Gifted Equity Initiative (PGEI). IU13's very own Brian Booker was selected to become one of the ten Gifted Equity Liaisons across the state through a competitive application process. Under this program, a total of $3.5 million will be allocated to expand gifted services under a statewide support team consisting of state-level leads, intermediate units, local education agencies (LEAs), and national leaders in equity to advance the equitable practices in gifted identification across the Commonwealth. The state team will interact with 400 school districts—or 80% of school districts—and each intermediate unit will receive approximately $135,000 over the five-year grant period to serve as the training hub for their region. https://hubs.li/Q02Lynhm0 #workworthdoing
