We recently hosted a remarkable Día de los Muertos celebration this past Saturday, made possible through our partnership with Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center. Participants of all ages engaged deeply with the rich traditions of this meaningful holiday. 💀 🎉 Activities included decorating cookies and creating calavera masks, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of the occasion. 🍪 🎭 Additionally, the Lotería, Coco-style, added an element of enjoyment to the event. It was truly gratifying to witness families come together to learn, create, and celebrate this cultural heritage.

Leslie’s inspiring journey with LaAmistad began in the first grade, where she grew up surrounded by a supportive community that believed in her potential. 🙏 💚 Whenever she needed extra help with her math homework, the amazing tutors were always there, guiding her through challenges and igniting her passion for learning. 💢 📚 With their support and her determination, Leslie not only graduated but is now on her way to becoming a nutritionist at Georgia State University!

We're thrilled to have Vanessa, a dedicated public health student from Kennesaw State University, as part of our LaAmistad family! 📣 Her unwavering commitment and willingness to step in whenever needed truly embody the spirit of teamwork and compassion. 🤝 🧡 Vanessa's passion for social work shines through in everything she does, making a real impact on our community. What do homework help, reading boosts, and math magic have in common? They all happened thanks to the amazing HD Supply volunteers! 🙌✨ Yesterday, our students at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church got some extra help from these fabulous volunteers, and let’s just say, it was a blast! 📚✏️ From solving tricky math problems to diving into exciting stories, you brought your A-game and made learning fun! Thank you, HD Supply, for making a difference and being such awesome role models for our kids!
