From the Koval team: It takes so many people and to all those who make the world 🌎 go round - THANK YOU 🙏🏼 We take many things for granted unfortunately in the developed countries and don’t really think about that the roof over your head is supported by trusses that comes from lumber milled at a sawmill such as the one here in the video from Steely Lumber! Take a moment and be grateful for the roof over your head and many other things that the labor of someone you never met made it possible for you to live and enjoy all that you do daily. Happy Labor Day! Especially all our friends that directly help make the wood products we all need on a daily basis 🏡🌳🌎

Will it BURN?? FLAME THROWERS, Firefighters and FIRECOAT high-tech PAINT in Cali After an exhausting roadtrip through the night on a Tesla to make it to the sawmill testing site on time I arrived in Korbel, California to get this footage (not sponsored - just my own curiosity to capture this for my YouTube channel!) I wanted to see CalFire use the flame throwers to light up the test samples with and without Firecoat paint technology and see if it can do what it claims: "Using new polymer technology, FIRECOAT exterior and interior undercoat paints are a world-first, rated to a BAL-40 for extreme fire protection" In plain english, the paint SHOULD stop the building from burning. thats a tall order so I had to come and see it for myself... NEW Vlog up from California on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/ezRXxDRp (Not sponsored by Firecoat or Flame Security International by the way or anyone else, I just love to see innovation in our Wood World as I call it and if you have something cool let me know maybe we will feature you stuff too....)

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬: read a 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 from my trip to the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼: Openly and honestly, I will continue making posts to share my raw experiences from my recent trip to the deep jungles in the Congo of Africa. Be open minded and you will be just fine if you have any issues with what I post let me know in the comments and let's have a discussion or I'm fine if you are closed minded and want to unsubscribe because I cannot please everyone and I have witnessed firsthand some profound moments, in the most unexpected ways, this will be a story about one of those profound moments in my life. ***Because of the character limits and the long length of my post text I will have to post the context and the rest of the story as comments of my own post below*** Fast-forward, it is Monday mid morning and we are heading through the dense jungle down to the Wamba River, where the sawmill crew have relocated the portable sawmill to a sandbar as you can see in the photos. Keep in mind there is no electricity running water or other services. Everything must to be done by hand. It was even a miracle that the portable sawmill ran that day and yes, we cut lumber! As we arrived with the team, we wanted to stay off the side to avoid interfering with their operation of the sawmill as well as keeping the Photography and Film focused on the daily story which would mean no white people in the shots… for context, Glen retired and left the village three years ago after delegating all authority to the local Congolese in the key departments namely: operations of the church, University, and hospital, as well as training a core team on the operation of the portable sawmill. Here is the KEY moment I wanted to share today: As I approached the sawmill, I was seeing the majority of the guys pushing the log (Puku-Puku species its a species that grows quickly and is considered a swamp log) that they floated down the river. there are no forklifts or loader machines or any technology to move a log that probably weighs multiple tons into position in rural Congo, as you might imagine. so what I observed was a group of men pushing this the river onto a makeshift log deck made from bamboo and some old boards. however, just due to the sheer size of this log, the banana shape and the fact that it absorbed so much moisture made it impossible to push out of the water! The moment of truth was when EVERYONE realized that we all needed to push the log out of the water TOGETHER. Yes even us bystanders who had cameras in hand, a drone in the air filming the action! Because I was at a little bit of a distance I still had my camera in hand and was taking shots as I was approaching the log to push with everyone else. Take a look at these few pictures that captured the moment which will forever be burned into my memory. WHAT DO YOU SEE AND UNDERSTAND FROM THESE PHOTOS? I see something VERY DEEP *Read my comments to this post, I hit the character limit here!*

🌍 CONGO AFRICA CHANGED MY LIFE! 🎥 This post is raw and personal, I just returned from a crazy ADVENTURE into the deep jungles of Congo, Africa where I met so many amazing people, Congolese and others, as you can see of these photos. I thought we were going to be in and out just their to capture a documentary on Glen Chapman and his ministry for 50 years in Kikongo, DRC. What I quickly realized is how much BIGGER THE STORY is then I came to tell. Listen I just uncovered a massive story going back many generations of American missionaries who built a new village from scratch and called it Kikongo-Mission. Today they have an operational CHURCH, UNIVERSITY, and HOSPITAL after the last white missionary left 3 years go and retired NO ONE REPLACED HIM! WHY? Because that was the GOAL ALL ALONG to let them be self sustaining! But in our planning no one knew the current status of those key functions in the mission. We even came and fired up the portable sawmill and got it running and THE CONGOLESE MADE LUMBER right in the bank of the Wamba river! What’s most touching for me is that even those these people have nothing by our standards they are HAPPY, EXTREMELY HARD WORKING, and LOVE GOD singing praises like I’ve never heard before 😭! Why?! How?! So much to share I’ll have to make another vlog video on YouTube or a series just dedicated just to my Congo, Africa trip… that’s if you’d like to see it? Please let me know what your curious about so I can be sure to ask my team to include that in the edit and talk about whatever you want to hear about, drop your thoughts in the comments please 🙏🏼 ALSO I HAVE BIG DREAM TO GO BACK!!!! We can do so much good to the Conolese people just with sawmilling alone I’d be able to help them build homes, schools, desks for kids, beds, furniture, church building, pews, bridges, shelters, boats, etc. please support just by liking and sharing this message!
