**** KovaDx is Shutting Down *** When we started Kova Diagnostics (KovaDx), we embarked on this journey with the vision of making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by sickle cell disease, a condition that disproportionately affects low-income communities. Our mission was to develop innovative solutions and bring much-needed attention to this often-overlooked disorder. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have made the difficult decision to close down KovaDx. The challenges we faced in securing the necessary funding to continue our operations proved to be insurmountable. The complex nature of rare disease research and the limited resources available for conditions that primarily impact underserved populations made it difficult to sustain our work. Additionally, a combination of internal and external factors further compounded our challenges. We want to express our sincere gratitude to our mentors, families, friends, investors, and everyone who believed in our vision.
