Meet Anna Burnbaum, Esq., LL.M, one of five new members of the Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors. Anna is a senior associate at the law firm of Klein DeNatale Goldner, where she practices labor and employment and business and commercial litigation. She is licensed to practice law in the states of Washington, New York, and California. Anna earned her law degree at Seattle University School of Law after receiving a bachelor’s degree in English literature at the University of Montana’s Davidson Honors College. She earned a Master of Laws degree in alternative dispute resolution from Cardozo School of Law in 2012. Welcome, Anna!

The summer program at KDG has provided an outlet for the clerks to explore a wide array of diverse practice areas, build practical skills, and engage with pressing legal issues. I joined the firm in 2021 as an Intern during undergrad, continued as a Legal Support Clerk while I studied for the LSAT, and have now returned for my 1L summer. I am grateful to the firm for having both introduced me to the legal profession and given me the opportunity to develop my legal skills throughout my time at the firm. I have always and continue to be surrounded by supportive, cooperative, and competent attorneys, staff, and now fellow law clerks.”

Kelsey Hire, 2L at University of San Diego School of Law, shares her perspective on working at Klein DeNatale Goldner as a law clerk this summer. “I am grateful for the opportunity I had to meet and work with the other clerks. I sincerely enjoyed working collaboratively with them on projects and getting to know them on a personal level. I am also grateful for the relationships I established, and I know they will go beyond the summer program. Throughout the summer, I balanced projects for various clients under different legal regimes. In addition to typical research and writing assignments, I had opportunities to attend court and learn by watching the attorneys in real time. I certainly learned a lot this summer, and I am thankful I was given the opportunity to participate in the summer program.”
