Soil is far more than just dirt—it's a vibrant, living ecosystem teeming with microorganisms, fungi, and bacteria that create a dynamic environment essential for life on planet earth. Regenerative agriculture embraces this reality by nurturing soil’s natural vitality through its practices. CEO, Kiss The Ground

After a surf, run or workout, I used to start each day with black coffee without a thought about where it was from, when it was roasted, or.. harmful chemicals? When I travel I would always ask questions in local coffee shops, especially on my frequent surf trips to Costa Rica-- Americano in a cafe always feels different. I began to learn that conventional coffee is among the most heavily chemically treated foods in the world--synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, etc. While the conversation around our food systems is quickly gaining traction, the impact of coffee is less talked about than chemical use on fruits and vegetables. Regenerative practices focus on healthy soil, which greatly reduces and even eliminates the need for harmful chemicals, so... Gally Mayer, friend of Kiss The Ground started Buena Vida Specialty Coffee, to solve this problem. Side note, I used to buy their coffee at a Bodega on my surf trips to Costa Rica, the owner spoke proudly of their integrity and practices of the farm. Recently, one of the small family farms Gally works with, La Bella, got a Regenerative certification, so, this was the moment to partner and bring some clean specialty coffee with our brand name to the US, introducing Kiss The Ground Coffee. Free of pesticides or fertilizers, locally and responsibly grown, Kiss the Ground Coffee supports the well-being of coffee farmers, consumers, and our planet. Our coffee is currently being grown at La Bella Farm in the Los Santos  Mountains of Costa Rica. It is locally processed and roasted and then shipped out to San Diego (or accidentally to me) and then directly to you. We plan to launch a subscription model of Kiss the Ground Coffee this fall, and then select retailers, proceeds will support our work and the farm will earn more than twice the conventional coffee rate. We aim to use coffee to grow the Regenerative conversation. Currently, we are in the kick-start phase, supporters who donate $100 to Kiss The Ground (just visit our site!) will be the first to receive a bag of Kiss the Ground Coffee, we just roasted our 2nd batch today which will be ready to start shipping next week. I hope you will consider supporting our work. Thanks, Evan
