Congratulations to our new Rehab Rockstars from The Brian Center of Alleghany for the month of August: Judith Nicholson and Regina Cook!  Ms. Nicholson is always a willing participant and even continuing her training outside of therapy with her family. She has transitioned from a rolling walker to rollator and is now walking community distances more confidently thanks her training with PT. She also first came to us struggling getting herself ready and with some lessons and education with OT she is now independent with the use of AE and more independent with her IADLs. Ms. Cook has made leaps and bounds in just a short time. She first came to us and her pain was hindering her progress at first, but she is now walking independently and standing 10 mins with ease. She also was needing help getting herself ready and is now completely independent! She has tackled her PT and OT sessions and getting closer to home!  #Kissitocares #RehabRockstars

Congratulations to the Brian Center of Alleghany's Rehab Rockstar for July: Clay Johnson! We could never say enough about Clay. He has been such a light to our facility and following a short two week stay, he is on his way back home! He has worked so hard to get home while in therapy and outside of therapy on his own time.  While doing PT and OT, Clay has been able to ambulate with his crutches again vs being wheelchair bound. He's able to stand in the standing frame for 20 mins and is now transferring on his own independently. He's progressed with AE for his LB dressing and has increased his standing tolerance over time. He also has just become part of the team as he's worked with everyone and is also cheering on the rest of the residents during their sessions. We will miss you Clay and wish you the best at home! #kissitocares #rehabsuccess
