Napa’s first-ever Costco is officially open, marking a huge milestone for the community! After 12 years of planning, this 157,000-square-foot warehouse not only offers the largest wine selection in the country but also brings jobs and opportunities, driving local growth and boosting Napa’s economy. Throughout the 12-year journey, we implemented innovative solutions to overcome complex site conditions. Our team secured entitlement approval from both Napa County and the City of Napa, successfully annexed land into the city, and expertly managed floodplain construction. We also applied advanced techniques to remediate contaminated soils while preserving nearby wetlands. Mid-construction, we adapted the design to include an additional 2.5 acres of parking, enhancing capacity to meet growing demand and improve the customer experience. Together with our incredible project partners, who brought creative problem-solving and expertise at every stage, this vision was turned into reality. Last week, K+W team members Riley Cressler, PE, QSD / QSP and Cristina Pedroncelli, P.E. took on the challenge at the 13th Annual Bike to Hope, an inspiring event hosted by City of Hope’s Northern California Real Estate & Construction Council (NCREC). This annual ride brings together real estate and construction professionals with one goal: raising funds for life-saving cancer and diabetes research. Since its inception, Bike to Hope has raised over $22 million, accelerating breakthroughs in treatment and delivering compassionate care to those battling these life-threatening diseases. Riley and Cristina’s participation wasn’t just about crossing the finish line—it was about making a meaningful impact. The funds raised through this event help fuel hope for patients and their families, bringing critical research and treatment to those in need.
