This week KCE's General Counsel and EVP of Regulatory Affairs Rachel Goldwasser moderated a panel at the GridTECH Connect Forum Northeast focused on the opportunities and challenges facing the #EnergyStorage industry across the region. Poojan Parekh, KCE's Manager of Algorithmic Trading, also joined a panel at Energy Trading Week America's conference in Houston to discuss strategies to optimize #BatteryStorage revenues.

The KCE Asset Operations team met in our Albany Office last week for a safety training tabletop exercise, 2025 planning and were able to get outside and enjoy the fall colors for an afternoon!

The KCE team was well represented at conferences across the country this week! In Boulder, CO the team attended the Ascend Analytics conference with KCE's EVP of Commercial & Technology Joel Vyduna joining a panel to discuss recent developments and future expectations across the M&A landscape. Shanay Kapadia, Senior Performance Engineer, presented on best practices in battery technology at the American Clean Power Association (ACP) Resource & Technology conference in Phoenix, AZ.

Last week several members of Key Capture's Houston Office and market operations team participated in the annual Dragon Boat Team Challenge to benefit the YMCA of Greater Houston. It was a day full of activities including dodgeball, human foosball, lawn games and of course a boat race. We're already looking forward to next year!

Last week Key Capture Energy's Senior Director of Development in the Northeast Paul Williamson joined a panel to discuss the need for rapid buildout of battery energy storage across Connecticut. Thanks to Pullman & Comley, LLC for hosting an insightful conversation.

This week many members of our team gathered in KCE's Brooklyn Office to map out the rest of 2024 and beyond. Besides planning and strategy sessions, we enjoyed an architectural boat tour of New York City and learned about the city's plans to adapt to climate change (hint: battery energy storage will have a big role to play)

This week Key Capture Energy welcomes Nick Page as our new Director of Acquisitions & Divestitures. Nick will be KCE’s first dedicated team member solely focused on acquisitions and divestitures, underscoring our commitment to expanding our development pipeline through targeted strategic acquisitions. Nick brings a wealth of experience from Idemitsu Renewables, where he led acquisition and divestiture processes for utility-scale solar and storage projects and a decade at Whitehall & Company, a boutique investment bank specializing in energy infrastructure.

A recent report shows the benefits of battery energy storage for Illinois ratepayers by potentially saving $3 billion, creating a stable grid and reducing air pollution. Key Capture Energy is committed to making these benefits a reality and appreciates Clean Grid Alliance and American Clean Power Association (ACP)'s leadership.
