What’s the story? Rx Kids is coming to Kalamazoo! The historic Rx Kids program, established in Flint, Michigan, is expanding to the city of Kalamazoo in 2025. The program will provide expectant mothers and birthing individuals with no-strings-attached cash payments to help offset the significant cost of having a baby and increase access to vital early childhood development resources. Rx Kids is boldly reimagining how we support our families and babies in Kalamazoo!

Today, on #WomensEqualityDay, we reflect on the aspirational keynote by Valarie Kaur while our staff attended the YWCA Kalamazoo annual Women’s Equality Day luncheon. Thank you to all the women who have leveraged their moral compass and civic engagement duty to pursue making Kalamazoo County the most equitable place to live. #LoveWhereYouLive
