Earlier last month, JSS partnered with Toyota do Brasil and UniArte Sewing Cooperative to deliver eco-friendly bags and backpacks made from repurposed airbag and seatbelt waste to Brazil’s Paralympic athletes. 🏅 We are proud to be a part of this collaborative effort and to support the more than 30 incredible women from UniArte Sewing Cooperative who gave our repurposed materials a new life. This project embodies our commitment to sustainability, inclusion and female empowerment. At JSS, we prioritize community engagement as key components of our success. Campaigns such as the annual Sustainability Challenge at our location in Brazil is one example this commitment. During this week-long event, our team collects essential supplies for local organizations supporting children, cancer patients and others in need, thanks to the generous efforts of our employees. Other examples of our outreach include the donation of an Advanced Life Support Ambulance to the local community from our location in India and engaging in community service projects, such as our Munich team’s efforts to improve a local primary school. In an effort to reduce waste from single-use plastic bottles, we’ve installed water bottle refill stations throughout our facility in Elterlein, Germany. These new stations were introduced to our employees during Health Day, where they also received complimentary JSS branded water bottles. To make hydration more enjoyable, we provided a variety of healthy, sugar-free iced tea mixes, giving employees the option to add some flavor to their water. We’re committed to ensuring our employees have access to clean, cool water during working hours on hot summer days, and we’re proud to offer it in a sustainable way. #WeSaveLives #JSS #JSSElterlein

As a leader in global mobility safety, Joyson Safety Systems is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. We aim to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gases emissions by 30% by 2030, aligning with the temperature goals set by the Paris Agreement. In 2023, we have made significant progress, reducing emissions by approximately 11%, a clear reflection to our commitment. Our Environmental and Energy Management Systems play a crucial role in driving this progress. Currently, 88% of our manufacturing plants are certified under the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and nine of our plants have also obtained ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification. Last month, our JSS Asia headquarters hosted the 5th annual Management Development Program (MDP) manager training camp. This program cultivates over 100 essential management skills and focuses on the JSS Asia leadership competency model, covering four key dimensions: • Achieve targets • BE a leader • Create one JSS • Strive for excellence 25 middle and junior managers from five Asian countries participated in this two-week training which encouraged learning and collaboration through internal sharing, workshops, study visits and more.
