  • I'm feeling proud, its almost 9 years since my heart attack and I can't thank the NHS enough they saved me that day! 2 years down the line I took up wildlife photography I didn't have a clue, learned by asking others regarding settings, speeds, ISO and so on........I'm still learning but more importantly I'm enjoying life, I would like to thank RSPB for liking some of my photos and you people that follow me, never give up it doesn't matter what the quality of the photo its about sharing with others be proud and enjoy life.

  • Red Shouldered Hawk with lunch not sure what was caught? Florida USA The red-shouldered hawk (Buteo lineatus) is a medium-sized buteo. Its breeding range spans eastern North America and along the coast of California and northern to northeastern-central Mexico. It is a permanent resident throughout most of its range, though northern birds do migrate, mostly to central Mexico. The main conservation threat to the widespread species is deforestation. RSPB

  • Bolton UK The wrynecks (genus Jynx) are a small but distinctive group of small Old World woodpeckers. Jynx is from the Ancient Greek iunx, the Eurasian wryneck. These birds get their English name from their ability to turn their heads almost 180°. When disturbed at the nest, they use this snake-like head twisting and hissing as a threat display. It has occasionally been called "snake-bird" for that reason. RSPB Canon EMEA
