Since 2003, James River has provided thousands of commercial customers with creative solutions for their business insurance needs. No two businesses are the same. At James River each submission is reviewed individually. The company operates primarily in a brokerage model working only with specifically authorized surplus lines brokers. James River's underwriting approach is characterized by a wide risk appetite and our ability to create insurance solutions for both low and higher hazard businesses, many that other underwriters simply decline. We are true E&S underwriters. We strive to provide excellent service and to treat our clients as we would like to be treated.
